AROGYADHAM
Inaugurated on 12th November 2006 and housed in Sanjeevan Complex, AROGYADHAM is a convalescent (Recovery) Home providing Nursing care to patients (female). The Home is fully equipped with state of art hospital beds, Doctor, Nurses, Trained staff and other equipment required for such a facility. Most importantly it provides personalized care, homely environment and food according to the requirements of the patients.
The home acts as a recovery facility for ailing patients by providing medical, nutrition, sanitation and recreational facilities. Till October 2012, more than 250 patients suffering due to old age sickness, bed sores, fractures and similar ailments have benefitted from the services provided at AROGYADHAM. The average occupancy of the Home is 40 patients per month. Since its inception almost 90% of the patients have returned home after recovery.| More

NANDADEEP
Nandadeep is a holiday home for elderly people above the age of 50 years, especially for women. Apart from living a life in luxury and solitude on the one hand, women also experience community living and also contribute their valuable time and experience to various social, cultural and educational activities conducted by SYD from time to time.
Accommodation for Arogyadham & Nandadeep consists of spacious, well lit and ventilated rooms with attached bathroom-cum- toilet (western W.C.) and balcony with a beautiful view of the pristine surroundings. Florence Nightingale's of Goa
The home nurses trained at the training centre at SYD are providing care for people in their homes, such as those recovering from illness, an accident, childbirth and old age people. The core and primary service is critical to the semi-and non-ambulant patients recuperating at home.

Winter's Donation, Germany - Nutritional, medical & educational assistance to poor families
India has exceptionally high rates of child malnutrition, because tradition in India requires that women eat last and least throughout their lives, even when pregnant and lactating. Malnourished women give birth to malnourished children, perpetuating the cycle.

Mahila Adhar Kendra - Shelter Home For Women
This is a temporary refuge for girls and women who are in need of shelter due to family problems, divorce or psychological imbalance. 25 women including girls were given shelter during the reporting period. They were later given counseling and sent back to their homes. Some were provided with jobs and are living a self reliant life. |More

Dr. Madhucar Talaulikar Technical School - Skill training courses for the unemployed youth, housewives, distressed women and widows
The problem of educated unemployed youth has gripped India and the number of educated unemployed is increasing day by day. In villages the housewives have plenty spare time but they lack skills which can earn an extra income for their financially suffering families. To tackle this problem SYD runs a Technical School through which it undertakes skill training courses for the unemployed youth, housewives, distressed women and widows.|More

SYD has assisted in the formation of seventeen self help groups comprising women in and around Ponda Taluka. Guidance is provided in areas of production and marketing of various products. The entire endeavor is directed towards making women self reliant. They are also trained to efficiently handle the administrative and financial aspects of running an enterprise.|More
